Choose a PDF and enter the pages to extract. The source file stays unchanged.

How to split a PDF and extract pages

  1. Choose one PDF and check its displayed page count.
  2. Enter individual page numbers or inclusive ranges.
  3. Select Extract pages.
  4. Download the new PDF containing only your selected pages.

Page-selection example

For a five-page document, this selection produces four pages in the order 1, 3, 4, 5:

1, 3-5

Enter 3, 1 to place page 3 before page 1. Page numbers refer to physical positions in the PDF, even if a document prints different page labels.

Extract pages without changing the original

Use extraction to share only the relevant section of a report or save selected pages for later. The new PDF is a separate file. This version produces one output document for each operation.

Supported files and processing limits

Source files can total up to 50 MB per operation. Merge and image conversion accept up to 25 files; PDF operations support at most 500 combined input pages. Images are limited to 16 million pixels each, with an 80 MB prepared-input limit. Output is limited to 100 MB and processing stops after 30 seconds. Smaller inputs are more suitable for phones and devices with limited memory.

Troubleshooting and document features

Use valid, unencrypted PDFs. If an input cannot be read or is too large, choose fewer files or a smaller copy. Editing can affect document-level features and invalidate digital signatures. Merge and extraction copy pages into a new document, so bookmarks, attachments, and interactive forms are not guaranteed to carry over. Check the output when those features matter.

Local processing and repeat use

Your source files are processed on your device. Cancel stops PDF worker processing; changing inputs or settings clears the old download. The same inputs remain available for another operation. No account or processing-service API is required.

Frequently asked questions

Does splitting change my original PDF?
No. The selected pages are copied into a new downloadable PDF. The original file on your device stays unchanged.
How do I select a page range?
Use page numbers starting at 1, such as 1, 3-5. Ranges include both endpoints. Duplicate selections are included once.
Can I change the output page order?
Yes. Selections are used in the order you enter them. Entering 3, 1 produces page 3 followed by page 1.
Does this create a separate file for every page?
This version extracts your chosen pages into one PDF. It does not automatically produce one file per page.
